Very good looking, high performance vessel; nice enough to stay out of the cupboard, which, given its weight, is just as well. If you want to transfer from the stove-top to the oven to the table, this is what you are looking for; and the price is right, too. As others have mentioned, Lodge had its products independently tested for the dreaded Chinese lead enamel and it came back clean. The only caveat I can think of is there are no 'drip bumps' inside the lid, so this may not be the perfect oven if you need even distribution of cooled steam. Wholehearted recommendation
